WE are a small Charter boat rental company operating out of the Tahoe Keys Marina in SOuth Lake Tahoe, Ca. WE specialize in wakesurfing, wakeboarding, and watersports. If watersports aren't your thing, We also offer leisure cruises and customizable wake surf boat charters catered to your parties' wants and needs.

THE BOATs
Premium wake boats
Our fleet consists of a 2024, and BRAND NEW 2025 MB B52 23 Alpha. MB boats are known to produce the best wave in the business and also offer an absolutely premium luxury fit and finish. The boats are equipped with 4,150 lbs. of ballast that fills in minutes, and the MB surf system, so we can fine tune a perfect wave for any rider’s needs. At 23 feet in length, your crew will have plenty of room to spread out in the spacious interior, while the deep-V hull design cuts through any chop or rough water for the smoothest ride possible. A powerful 6.2L engine with surf exhaust ensures you get right up onto your board and breath nothing but fresh air while surfing. Other features include gator step decking throughout that is soft and forgiving on your feet, LED lighting, A premium JL sound system that absolutely bumps, USB charging ports, and a heater that will help you stay warm after a long session or on those chilly early mornings.
We are equipped with top-of-the-line surfboards and O’Neill wetsuits, in all shapes and sizes to accommodate almost any size surfer. We have both skim and surf style boards, multiple fin setup configurations (quads, tri fins, single fins) and even boards to accommodate two surfers at once! So, whether you are brand new to the sport or a professional, we have the board, gear, and wave set up to suit you.

Captain CLay
1600 Ton USCG Captain, First Aid and CPR Certified
Clay grew up surfing the treacherous and frigid waters of Ocean Beach San Francisco. After starting a career in the commercial shipping industry, he decided to settle in Tahoe, drawn by his many passions including snowboarding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, and camping. The only thing lacking was the ability to surf… until he discovered wakesurfing. After rekindling his stoke for surfing four years ago on a friend’s wakesurf boat, Clay realized he needed his own! Combining his professional skills/ experience and love for wakesurfing and being on the water, Clay decided to pursue his dream and start Lake Level Surf Charters.
Captain Derek
1600 Ton USCG Captain, First Aid and CPR Certified
Captain Derek aka “Deesh” might spend more time on the water than he does on land. He grew up boating with his family and has owned multiple boats of his own. When He’s not boating he likes snowboarding, mountain biking, golfing, backpacking and camping. Derek has also made a career in commercial shipping with more than 10 years of experience. His latest job was driving a 300 foot ship that hauled rocket boosters for spaceships! Whether its navigating the seven seas or deep blue of Lake Tahoe, Capt. Derek is the man for the job.
ADDTIONAL INFORMATION
captain requirement
All of our charters require a USCG licensed captain. If you don't have one in your group you can choose one from our list of certified and approved captains. Please note the captain must be paid directly by you and the fee is separate from your booking fee.
Safety Equipment
The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. That is why all our captains are CPR and first aid certified and are familiar with the closest and quickest access points for first responders to the lake. We also carry more than the required safety items onboard.
Pets
Please no pets onboard. We love animals, but due to limited space onboard to roam, sharp paw nails, potty breaks, and need for constant supervision, your furry friend is better off onshore for a couple hours.
No No’s On Board
Please no smoking, no glass, no drugs, no red wine, no sharp objects that could rip or puncture the upholstery.
Cancellation Policy
We have a 72-hour cancellation policy. All reservations canceled 72 hours or more before the charter will receive a full refund minus processing fees. Any cancellation less than 72 hours prior to your reservation date and time will be charged our 2-hour minimum.
Weather
Lake Tahoe is a massive body of water (37 trillion gallons!) and can be somewhat unruly at times. If the weather is not cooperating and the captain deems it unfavorable or unsafe to go out, we are happy to work out the best solution for you. Whether it be rescheduling, a credit for a future date, or a refund.
Other important Notes
At Lake Level we aim to create the best possible experience for our guests and their time on beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our whole operation revolves around our exquisite, top of the line surf boat, and we would like to keep it as clean and pristine as possible. So please, treat the boat and crew with respect, always obey the captain’s commands while onboard, and adhere to the rules we have in place. We Greatly Appreciate your cooperation!
